MULTI-ENGINE
INSTRUMENT RATING
Experience
·
Applicant
must hold a Private Pilot Licence or higher with a multi-engine endorsement
·
An
applicant shall have acquired a minimum of 50 hours of cross-country flight time
as pilot-in-command
·
An
applicant shall have
(i)
40 hours total instrument time
(ii)
one dual cross-country flight under simulate or actual IMC conditions of
a minimum of 100 nautical miles, the flight to be conducted in accordance with
an IFR flight plan to include, at two different locations, an instrument
approach to minima.
Knowledge
·
An
applicant shall have obtained a minimum of 70% on the written examination
Instrument Rating (INRAT)
Skill
·
Applicant
shall complete a flight test in accordance with Flight Test Standards –
Instrument Rating
(TP 9939E)
Privileges
·
The
holder may exercise the privileges of the licence under IFR and the privileges
accorded a VFR OTT rating in either a single-engine or multi-engine aircraft
