Canadian licensing
and trainings requirements are widely recognized as competitive in the world
market. Canada is a member of the
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) which governs international
pilot standards.
Persons wishing to attend a course of six months duration or less, at any level,
do not require a study permit.
The exchange rate
in Canada is very appealing to many students. http://www.bank-banque-canada.ca/english/exchform.htm
Costs are much lower in Canada than in many other countries.
A Canadian Private
Pilot Licence allows you to obtain a United States PPL with no additional flight
training or written exams. Some training,
exams and flight testing may be required to obtain an equivalent foreign
licensing document elsewhere.
Commercial students will gain the required flight experience in a structured
time-building program.. This planned program will assist pilots in
maximizing the diversity of flight experiences offered while in Canada.
Canada's terrain and variable weather challenges pilot decision-making and
improves flying skills.
Attending School in Canada
If you are a
non-Canadian and are considering enrolling in a pilot program for more than 6
months, you must meet
immigration requirements. If you
are not a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or a dependant of a
diplomat accredited to Canada, you must obtain student authorization.
